ITEM: Standard T-shirts OZ: 6.2oz ▪️Words related to Hippocrates 【Ars longa, vita brevis】 In Latin, it means "Art (skill) is long, life is short." Although this quote is widely known as a famous saying by Hippocrates, Hippocrates himself used ancient Greek, not Latin. It originally derives from the following passage at the beginning of Hippocrates' book, *Aphorisms*. Ὁ βίος βραχύς, ἡ δὲ τέχνη μακρή (Life is short, skills are long) Later, this phrase was translated into Latin and became widely known as Ars longa, vita brevis. Here, "Ars" (art) does not refer only to fine arts and performing arts in the modern sense, but rather to all kinds of specialized knowledge and skills that people acquire over long periods of time, such as medicine, academics, and technology. Therefore, this saying is not simply a lament about the brevity of life, but rather a humb attitude that conveys the importance of continuous learning, acknowledging that "the world of knowledge and skills is so vast that one cannot possibly learn everything in a lifetime."
